Fifty Shades of Grey

Recently I’ve been hearing about this book from every one of my gal pals, even my mom has gotten on the Fifty Shades of Grey train. My mom saw it on Ellen and she asked if I heard of the book that it was suppose to be VERY good and she was thinking of picking it up. I find out that this is erotic fiction mom you cheeky monkey you.

Since every woman is a buzz over this book I just had to find out what the big deal is. I am 1/4 of the way through Fifty Shades of Grey and well hot damn, this is a single gals dream read. Since I have no erotic adventures of my own I am easily swept up in this story. The main character Christine Grey is one sexy beast; I had discussion with Triple C about who should play him in a movie.

She said she pictures James Scott from Days of Our Lives

Granted this man is smoking hot and I would seriously consider being his submissive but I’m not quite sure he is a Christine Grey. No one comes to my mind yet, but I still have to finish the book.

Are you reading the trilogy? Who do you think should play Christine Grey on the big screen?

Happy Reading!

International Women’s Day

Today is International Women’s Day! For over a 100 years we have celebrated women’s economic, political and social achievements on March 8th. Today is the day to tell all the women in your life that you love, respect and appreciation them. Women everyday are doing what needs to be done, whether fighting for their rights, fighting for the rights of others, taking care of their families or taking care of themselves, we do these things without expectation of praise or reward but today is the day to say “I appreciate you.”

I am grateful for the all the women in my life.  My mom who is the strongest women I know, she has survived breast cancer, kept our family together and built our strong family ties. She  never complained she just did what she felt had to be done.  My very close circle of girlfriends (old and new)  that have been through everything with me and will continue to be there no matter what life throws at us. My Single Gal pals that are always there for me and truly understand what is it like doing it on your own. My monthly dinner  pals we started out as co-workers but now we are friends for life. My sister-in-laws whom have given me the great  joy of  having two beautiful nieces and a nephew in my life and to all the other women that have influenced me over the years.

Happy International Women’s Day!

Be proud that you are a Women!

Cheers!

Gluten Free Buckwheat Chocolate Chip Cookies

I love chocolate chip cookies! I do not eat them every day but they are my guilty pleasure when I have a sweet craving. I’m  trying to cut out processed foods from my diet and yet I hate to bake so when I am out at my local health food store I always check to see what brands of Chocolate Chip cookies they have. I have tried many, most were like eating saw dust, dry and woodsy tasting.  Today I stumbled across this cookie made locally here in Toronto at Hub  Locavorium Bakery, so I thought what the hell I will give it a try. The girl at the counter was raving about it and she was right this cookie is delish! It’s got the right amount of chewiness, not to sweet and totally yummy. All the ingredients are organic, it’s Gluten and GMO free. For my gal pals  following the weight watchers plan this cookie is 3 points. So you can have a weekly treat and not feel guilty about it.

Enjoy!
